Macaron

Beberapa hari lepas, aku lepak with Aiman, Qotad, Mahdi and Kamal sambut belated birthday si Qotad yang baru cukup umur. Then on the way ke Poppeyes, budak-budak nie sempat bergosip pe ke bende ntah. Aku macam biasa, senyum dan buat-buat paham jer. Diorang gelak, aku gelak. Yer la, side kick aku dah tak ada.

Then, ada something yang menarik minat aku. Sape ntah bukak cerita pasal macaron. Ape tue? Aku pun dengar jer sambil senyum-senyum dan buat poker face. Bila keadaan sempoi untuk aku mencelah, aku pun Tanya, “Macarons tue bende ape weh?”, Dengan loghat KL yang amat clear dan flawless.

“La.. Macaron tue macam cookies laa.”

“Oh, ye ke?” aku jawab. Padahal dalam hati time tue aku nak sambung jer, “aku ingat macaroni tadi..” Tapi aku diam. Tak pe, nanti balik aku tanya prof Google. Mungkin dia boleh jawab dengan gambar sekali.
Tapi aku pelik jugak. Asal aku tak tahu Macarons? English aku power what.. Ahahaha

Nie la jawapan prof Google setelah dia menelaah buku ensiklopedia feveret beliau, Wikipedia.

macaron (French pronunciation: [makaˈʁɔ̃])[1][2] is a sweet confectionery made with egg whitesicing sugargranulated sugaralmond powder or ground almond, and food coloring. The macaron is commonly filled with buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies. Its name is derived from an Italian word "maccarone" or "maccherone". This word is itself derived from ammaccare, meaning crush or beat, used here in reference to the almond paste which is the principal ingredient.[3] It is meringue-based: made from a mixture of egg whites, almond flour.
The confectionery is characterised by its smooth, domed top, ruffled circumference (referred to as the "foot"), and flat base. It is mildly moist and easily melts in the mouth.[4]
